Sackville Community Supported Agriculture

Robert started a hobby farm which included beef cattle and commercial carrots in 1981.  When Nathan was 9 years of age, he added layer chickens to the hobby farm, which has increased to 200 layer hens.  Nathan also has 50 ewes, along with being the backbone of our market gardening and vegetable sand operation, in which we sell potatoes, carrots, green & yellow beans, swiss chard, beets, beet greens, squash, & pumpkins.  Last year, Nathan did a pilot project with meat chickens.  This year Nathan will be selling meat chickens and turkeys, along with the vegetables.  The farm has three natural hothouses where we grow tomatoes & cucumbers.  In the future, Nathan will be selling lamb meat.
